Design Round 4 · Redraws of R3 screens 1b and 1l · renders the July 7 resolutions · July 8, 2026

Two screens, redrawn to say what was decided

R3's MANIFEST flagged these as visual-only pending: the folded voice transcript (2a, resolution #1 — in-flight words live in the band, never the Thread) and the tap-to-enter crossing (2b, resolution #3 — no hold ring; the crossing itself is the deliberation window). Both now also carry the July 8 name: the world is Kidunaversity, the first Reality Game. Written model in UX-SPEC-R4.md §2.

Voice · listening, folded — the band holds the forming words; the Thread holds only what settled

What changed from 1b. R3's screen drew the forming utterance as a bubble in the Thread. Resolution #1 folded it: nothing enters the Thread until the utterance closes. The band grows one line to hold the in-flight words — small, italic, peripheral, refining in place as recognition firms. The Thread above shows only settled turns; the member's last complete utterance sits there as an ordinary bubble, indistinguishable from a typed one. The band is the conversation; the Thread is the record.

Morning. Nothing moved overnight except the Sleep Circle check-in — it collected itself, yours included from Monday's answer.
Okay — about the gear order, go ahead and place it.
settled · landed when you paused — same bubble typing would make
listening
…but hold the crampons until Dana confirms her size…
forming, here in the band · lands above as one bubble when you pause
nothing forms in the Thread — the record has no in-flight state to show · tap ⌨ any time, the half-spoken sentence moves to the composer as editable text

The crossing into Kidunaversity — a tap opened it; the crossing is the deliberation

What changed from 1l. The hold-ring is gone. Resolution #3: entering has no consequence by construction, so it takes no signature — the portal card opened on a plain tap, and the 1400ms crossing itself is the deliberation window. The one affordance drawn during the crossing is the way back: tap anywhere to turn back, and it rolls home at 2× to the exact sentence you left. Press-and-hold now appears inside the world only, as practice signatures (see 4c in the Kidunaversity canvas). The world carries its July 8 name in the frame: Kidunaversity, the first Reality Game.

Two portals opened on the back of it. Here's the one I'd take:
the thread sinks — still here, beneath
Kidunaversity · crossing in
Foundry Row rising
tiles lift with a 30ms stagger · characters arrive last · one continuous 1400ms shot, no cut
tap anywhere to turn back rolls home at 2× · you never left
no hold ring anywhere in this frame — the signature gesture keeps its one meaning: an act with consequence
